It's a girl!

Don't get too excited. We're still a long ways off from finding out the sex of our child. But for various reasons, we suspect the child will be a girl. (I'd go into the studies that say female sperm are stronger and therefore if you have sex a few days before ovulation, you're more likely to have a girl, and male sperm are faster, so if you have sex during ovulation, you're more likely to have a boy, but you probably don't want to think about all that nitty gritty in regards to me and Murray.)

But there is new evidence that we'll be having a girl. Murray's coworker's wife claims that this Chinese birth calendar has been true for everyone she knows. Has it been true for you? Read the instructions carefully.

(By the way, the baby is due a couple weeks after my birthday... so I guess if it comes early, we're having a boy!)

(NOTE: If this Chinese birth calendar works, then the Chinese people could more easily avoid having baby girls... so I'm saying it probably is not too accurate.)

That birth calendar was wrong about both Lego and his little brother.

Well I was right accorfing to my mother.....but really when you have a 50 percent chance, almost any time could be right.

The birth calendar was right for me! I was pretty sure he was a boy and the calendar agreed and lo and behold: a boy!

It was right both times for us.

It was right for both of the boys--then again, the odds are pretty good.

Actually, it was wrong for Lego and right for his baby brother. 50% accuracy . . . about what you'd expect. Also, the background on that site is priceless.

wrong for both my kids - well, with child #2 I'm not completely positive on when exactly "it" happened, so at best 50%

It was right for my son and wrong for my daughter.

I remember when you said you wanted to have four boys and you were going to name them Dee, Blue, Wolfgang and I don't remember what the other one was? You were still living on Hart at the time so we were like 15 maybe. Good times... I also discovered your Grade 12 (I think) school pic the other day when we were unpacking. In my opinion, it was your best school pic and what you wrote on the back made me laugh.

Wrong for both my son and my daughter. You'll have to try a more reliable prediction method. http://www.babygenderprediction.com/needle-gender-prediction.html

Although predicting based on the heart rate of the baby was accurate for me and 5 or 6 of my friends. So have you asked how fast the heart rate is?

It was wrong for our 2nd.

KT: Please refrain from posting embarrassing details about my teenage years on this blog.

So far it seems that this calendar is about 50 percent accurate... what are the chances of THAT happening?

It was right 2/3 for us. And, as you all know, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

What do the 5 dentists think about it?

Rynell said...

Right for all 3 of my kids. We'll know in a month if it's right for numero quatro.

I've given birth 5 times. For 4/5 the calendar was right. For the other, it was right if conception occurred at the beginning of November, but the end of October is more likely - in which case she should have been a boy! So what about girl/boy twins??
