Home Organization

Today, for the first time in as long as Murray and I have been married, I have a whole day to dedicate to cleaning and home organization. And believe me, the house needs it. I have bathrooms left to do, but before doing them, I think I'm going to run out to buy some laundry room organization essentials and take out our dry cleaning. Then I can come back and do laundry.

For my break during the day, I made up a chores chart and a project chart. Here they are.

Now you can see what we'll be doing on any given day of the week.

Part of me thinks this is great, our life together just got a lot more organized, and the other part of me thinks, crap, we have a lot to do.

But I do thank you for doing this, me thinks ye are a breath of fresh air.

I don't know why that last line required me to write it like a pirate.

You want to make a job chart for me? So fabulous. And Murray, why does your photo make you look like a chubby prophet?

I like this idea so much that I'm going to steal it for use in my own home. I'm an especially big fan of the organization/project chart. I plan to use it to show my own husband that organization does not equal shoving stuff under the bed and/or in the closet.

I love your job chart. I think it's purdy. I really need to get some skills. I would much rather make a cute job chart about the chores I need to do than actually go do them.

I like your chore chart design so much that I sent it to our designers as inspiration for a new catalog we're working on at work! (Gosh, now that I think about it, I hope that's ok?) We won't steal it--just use it to get the creative juices flowing. :) You're too too cool.
